Senior AQA Engineer (Blockchain)
Vacancy Description
We’re looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join a team developing a secure and scalable cryptocurrency payment gateway. The platform enables smooth crypto deposits, conversions, and fiat withdrawals, providing a transparent and efficient experience for both individual and business users.
The main goal of this role is to design and implement a robust, maintainable automation testing framework covering UI, API, and backend layers. The engineer will ensure high test reliability, scalability, and integration within CI/CD pipelines, supporting continuous delivery of a quality product.
Key objectives include:
Building and optimizing a scalable automation framework aligned with system architecture and business goals.
Replacing repetitive manual regression with automation to increase efficiency.
Achieving 70–80% automation coverage for critical flows with <5% flakiness rate. Ensuring fast, stable test execution and quick feedback loops for the development team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about automation excellence, continuous improvement, and ensuring product quality in a complex fintech environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in automation
- Experience in FinTech, preferably in one or more of the following areas: banking, payments, processing systems, e-invoicing, or crypto.
- Hands-on experience in blockchain QA, including validating blockchain nodes, transaction integrity, and consensus mechanisms
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Strong background in CI/CD-driven QA with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar
- Experience in Playwright
- Ability to dig into previously created tests and maintain them
- Solid understanding of the testing process and auto tests in it
- Willing to investigate and use new tools and approaches
Would be a plus
- Experience in performance and load testing tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, and backend components.
- Select and manage test automation frameworks.
- Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure tests are stable, maintainable, and cover critical business flows and regression scenarios.
- Apply best practices for version control, test data management, and environment setup
- Run automated test suites regularly and analyze test reports.
- Track, investigate, and log defects in JIRA
- Monitor test results in CI/CD dashboards and raise alerts on failures.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of automated test coverage and frameworks.
- Regularly refactor tests to adapt to product changes and prevent flaky results.
