Business Analysis Competence Lead
Vacancy Description
We are looking for a Competence Lead for Business Analysis to own and grow the BA function across Web3 projects.
This role combines Web3 domain expertise, team leadership, and process ownership. The person in this role is expected to identify gaps in current BA practices, improve them together with the Head of Delivery, and ensure stable, high-quality analysis across projects.
The role requires a hands-on mindset. The Competence Lead may personally step in during pre-sales, high-risk initiatives, or temporary team gaps to stabilize delivery.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including leadership responsibility.
- Hands-on experience with Web3 / Blockchain projects.
- Strong understanding of blockchain-based systems and product architecture.
- Solid requirements engineering skills (functional, non-functional, acceptance criteria).
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

- Able to switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear, direct communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.
Would be a plus
- Experience in outsourcing or consultancy environments.
- Pre-sales or discovery phase experience.
- Background in fintech, DeFi, or regulated Web3 products.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Own the Business Analysis competency across Web3 projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts.
- Identify skill gaps and drive professional growth.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
- Process & Quality
- Define and improve BA standards, templates, and practices.
- Identify and close gaps in requirements quality and collaboration.
- Work closely with the Head of Delivery to align BA processes with delivery needs.
- Reduce delivery risks caused by unclear or unstable requirements.
- Pre-Sales & Hands-on Involvement
- Participate in pre-sales and discovery activities.
- Help structure early-stage client ideas into clear scopes and assumptions.
- Temporarily act as a hands-on BA on critical or understaffed projects when required.
- Web3 & Cross-Functional Work
- Ensure BA work reflects Web3-specific constraints and patterns.
- Validate requirements related to blockchain, smart contracts, wallets, and integrations.
- Work closely with Delivery, Product, Engineering, QA, and Design teams.
- Act as an escalation point for requirement ambiguity or scope conflicts.
