Project Description

Project Overview

Rusk Media team envisions a platform where users could not only consume content but also participate in a metafictional universe built around Rusk’s proprietary intellectual properties. That is why, the first phase of the project was focused on developing a gaming platform where game studios (acting as content creators) can design games within a shared universe, populated with original Rusk Media characters. These characters play core elements of the gaming narratives and can be tokenized and sold as NFTs on the Polygon blockchain.

This approach allows Rusk Media to establish an engaging digital ownership model, where users can “own” a piece of the metafictional universe, similar to possessing characters in popular franchises like Marvel. The initial gaming phase also serves as a stepping stone toward Rusk Media’s broader Content Engagement Platform.

Phase two aims to integrate additional forms of content, including videos and comics, all centered around the client’s original fictional characters. Supported by Rusk Media’s native $RSK token, the platform enables transactions and interactions within the universe, allowing users and creators to trade, interact, and expand the digital ecosystem.
The end goal is to create a comprehensive platform that merges digital content consumption, gaming, and NFT ownership in a unique and immersive experience for Rusk Media audience.

Also, platform is targeting non-technical users interested in engaging with digital content, gaming, and purchasing unique NFTs linked to characters and storylines.

  1. Custom NFT-based platform: a closed, secure, and scalable NFT platform with a user-friendly interface tailored to casual users.
  2. Smart contract edition management: the ability to create and manage multiple editions of NFTs, where metadata and attributes evolve as the project develops.
  3. Admin control for NFT management: an admin interface to control whitelisting, smart contract parameters, minting limits, royalties, and more, allowing Rusk Media full control over the platform’s NFT issuance and management.

  • Developed a dedicated admin interface for managing smart contract editions;
  • Designed a user-friendly, mobile-optimized “closed” NFT platform;
  • Implemented a decentralized data storage solution to support NFT metadata mutability;
  • Established core NFT functionalities, including minting, trading, purchasing, and selling;
  • Built an admin panel with advanced features like user whitelist management: view and modify the whitelist, add or remove users, and set minting limits;  and smart contract edition management: create, edit, deploy, and toggle between different smart contract editions
  • Enabled adjustable smart contract parameters, including mint price, maximum mint count, and royalty percentages;
  • Developed comprehensive NFT management capabilities: view NFT lists, upload metadata, and update specific NFT metadata.
